Day-of update: Yes, the market is open 3–7 p.m.! No, a little rain doesn’t bother us; HOWEVER the 6 p.m. concert from Julie Rhodes has been postponed until August 10. Yes, that’s a Thursday! So, yes, you can follow our action plan (see below) then! But yes, you should still come to the market today. Wachusett’s in the house!

YOU GUYS! If you haven’t been to the market since way back in ye olde week 1, now’s the time! In addition to a full roster of fabulous foodstuffs from 3 to 7 pm AND two awesome musicians from 3 to 6 pm, we’ve got fancy-pants live music ON STAGE(!): The Chevalier Theatre Commission is bringing blues-rocker Julie Rhodes to the Condon Shell from 6 to 8pm, overlapping with the last hour of the market. You know what to do: Come early, get your groceries, grab some picnic supplies (e.g. readymade sandwiches from Swissbakers or schmear Peg’s Preserves peach jam on a hunk of Bagel Land challah), snag a great spot in the grass, and settle in for the sweet tunes. Oh, and don’t forget the bug spray from our brand-new vendor Wachusett Naturals!

Got a gently used doodad you’re ready to part with or hoping to find? HERE ARE THE RULES: • no illegal items • no Rx drugs • no weapons • no broken items • no dumping large items that should be picked up by Waste Mgmnt • Check out the list (at the table) of where to get rid of other big stuff.

PRODUCE IN A SNAP FOR SENIORS: FULL-STEAMED-VEGGIES AHEAD!

Talk about a popular senior: Our senior farm share, Produce in a SNAP for Seniors, is a hit! PLEASE NOTE: You must register in advance, and right now there’s a waiting list, but don’t despair! The list moves quickly. Here’s how to add your name:

• Stop by the managers table at the farmers market, 3–7pm Thursdays at Condon Shell, and fill out an application.
• Or email our market manager, Caitlin.
• Seniors age 60 and over who live in Medford are eligible.
• For seniors who’ve received confirmation, pickup is 2:30–3:30pm Tuesdays at Medford Housing Authority, Edgerly Hall, 121 Riverside Ave.
• Once enrolled, $5 a week gets you a bag of farm-fresh goodness from New Entry Sustainable Farming Project. Enjoy!
