SarahMANAGER’S MESSAGE:
BREAD THAT’S GOOD FOR YOUR GUT

If you’ve had the chance to try out Birch Tree Bread, you’ll know they have seriously tasty baked goods, but did you know that their bread is also better for your gut than most bread  you can buy?

Since Birch Tree uses a sourdough starter instead of regular yeast to leaven their bread, you get the added benefit of the good bacteria from the wild yeast of the sourdough. The wild yeast is essentially fermented, and the fermentation process results in some amazing bacteria in the sourdough that is essential for the health of the microbiome in your belly.

I’m sure you’ve heard that sauerkraut, yogurt, and kombucha are good for you, and sourdough is also part of that fermentation family! Most fermented foods are great for your gut health, and sourdough is no exception. It also imparts a lovely taste to the bread that you just can’t get with regular yeast! Try it out and let me know what you think 🙂

Cheers!
