Calling All Vendors: Join the Medford Farmers Market!

Farmers, bakers, chefs, and cheese makers: Join our flourishing community of folks who love good food! The Medford Farmers Market is known for incubating such success stories as Mei Mei Street Kitchen and Doves and Figs. Be the next big thing in Boston food! Details on becoming a vendor below.

Dear Potential Vendor:

We are preparing for our 2016 Summer Market, and we are sure you are doing the same! We hope that you will consider joining us for our 9th season:

Medford Farmers Market
Thursdays, 3-7 pm
June 9 – October 13, 2016
Behind Medford City Hall

We are asking vendors to submit your application and the registration fee to indicate your interest in the market. We will decide quickly from the initial pool of applicants so that you may, in turn, make your final decisions. If we are not able to accommodate you at the market, we will return your registration fee.

A City of Medford Board of Health application is also attached (required for vendors selling prepared/processed foods or offering free samples). This application should be returned to the Medford Farmers Market by May 1.

If you indicate your interest by March 1, 2016, including submitting the completed application and registration fee, and you participate in the market, we will apply your registration fee to the season’s table fees (a savings of $50). The 100% prepayment discounts from last year will be in effect this year, too. See the table on the first page of the contract.

Again this year the Medford Farmers Market will host a Community Table, offered to local non-profits so that they can gain exposure in the community, and we will host family-friendly entertainment of various sorts to make it a more enjoyable experience for the shoppers. As we have been able to in the past, we will offer matching EBT/SNAP benefits to help increase participation in the market and increase healthy eating. We are very interested in hosting food trucks for the full market season and are working on this. If you know of anyone who might be interested or that you would be interested in having, please let us know.
