Last day of the Winter Farmers Market!

Medford Winter Farmers Market February 27, 2013
Dear Shopper,
It is our last week of the first Medford Winter Farmers Market.  The entire board of directors, Stacey Nussbaum, our market manager, Syrah McGivern from the Board of Health and all of our vendors sincerely thank you for your loyal patronage.

While our small group organizes and manages the market, we do not do it alone!  “It takes a village” to make it successful.  A special thanks to the Hyatt Place, Medford Family Network, Medford Health Matters and Whole Foods Market, all of whom have been very generous in their support of our efforts in the community.  It is so rewarding to organize a market in a city where it is enthusiastically appreciated and supported by everyone from City Hall to local businesses, to local organizations, to residents.  We are grateful.

We are grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the heart of our community, to bring local foods closer to those who eat it, to connect small businesses with customers, to encourage a healthy lifestyle, and to create a time and place where we can connect with our friends, neighbors and family.

Thank you again, and hope to see you June 6th for the opening of the summer market!

This week’s community table
This winter, the Market is sponsoring a free table for various community organizations each week at the market.
This week, we have Team Challenge New England.  They are an endurance training and fundraising program to benefit the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation and their effort to find a cure for Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Last year Team Challenge raised 4 million dollars nationally. Help us get one step closer by training to run or walk a half marathon in Virginia, Napa or Chicago this summer!
If you’d like to join us at the Community Table, please send an email to us

This week, we also welcome back The Medford Family Network!  They will be offering children’s activities @ 3:30 – 5:30pm.  Come on down and let the kiddos have some “free play” with blocks, art materials, puzzles, hula hoops, parachute, and other fun things to do.  You can also learn about upcoming classes and family events!

Also, if you’d like to sing, dance, lead an activity at our market, please send an us an email
